AT10:00 AM TODAY,THE LOW PRESSURE AREA (LPA)WAS ESTIMATED BASED ON ALL AVAILABLE DATA AT220 KM SOUTHWEST OF PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, PALAWAN (8.6N, 117.1E).THIS WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING CLOUDY SKIES WITH SCATTERED RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTHERN PALAWAN. METRO MANILA AND THE REST OF THE COUNTRY WILL HAVE PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES WITH ISOLATED RAINSHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS.

BY TOMORROW (FEB 17), ISOLATED LIGHT RAINS WILL BE EXPERIENCED OVER BATANES AND BABUYAN GROUP OF ISLANDS WHILE METRO MANILA AND THE REST OF THE COUNTRY WILL HAVEPARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES WITH ISOLATED RAINSHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS DUE TO EASTERLIES.

BY SUNDAY UNTIL THURSDAY (FEB 18-22), EASTERLIES ARE LIKELY TO PREVAIL OVER THE WHOLE ARCHIPELAGO CAUSINGPARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES OVER THE WHOLE COUNTRY WITH ISOLATED RAINSHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS MOSTLY IN THE AFTERNOON OR EVENING.

ANOTHER SURGE OF NORTHEAST MONSOON IS EXPECTED ON FRIDAY (FEB 23) WHICH MAY BRING ISOLATED LIGHT RAINS OVER NORTHERN LUZON. THE REST OF THE COUNTRY WILL BEPARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES WITH ISOLATED RAINSHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS DUE TO EASTERLIES.

NO TROPICAL CYCLONE IS EXPECTED TO FORM OR ENTER THE PAR WITHIN THE OUTLOOK PERIOD.
